A pair of highly unusual side / bedside tables in solid oak, these beauties likely started life as add-ons to a cabinet or dresser and have since been repurposed into stand alone pieces. 
 
Solid and study, these tables have two curved and carved front legs and a single back piece that extends above the surface of the table to form a scrolled and highly decorative backdrop.
 
Painted in Rust-Oleum furniture paint shade 'Rivers Edge' (see photos for swatch, the majority of both tables have been refinished in this muted shade.the table surfaces have been sanded and gel-stained to bring out the warmth and beauty of the underlying wood and then waxed to give them the light sheen mirrored in the stain paint finish. Some of the beautiful carved detail has also been painstakingly highlighted in gold to give this pair a regal lux look.
